Log on to your YouTube account and search for your friend by his YouTube user name. You can also type in the URL of her page if you know it.

Select "Add as Friend" to add the person as your friend. This button is located under the "Subscribe" button on the user's page.

Make sure the "Add as Friend" button is no longer active. Once the invitation is successfully sent, the button will say "Invited Friend."
